This Privacy Policy explains how By Any Means Basketball ("BAM," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the BAM Virtual Academy mobile app and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account information — your name and email address, which you provide when you create or access your membership.
Training profile — information you submit during intake and assessments, such as your position, level, training history, and goals.
Content you create — videos you upload, voice notes and audio you record, written notes, readiness check-ins, and messages you send to coaches.
Usage data — how you interact with the app (screens viewed, features used, session activity), collected to improve the product.
Diagnostic data — crash reports and error logs that help us fix bugs.
Device tokens — a push notification identifier, only if you enable notifications.

We do not collect your precise location, your contacts, your photo library, or health data from Apple Health.

2. Device Permissions

Microphone — used only when you choose to record a voice note or use voice-to-text. We do not record audio in the background.
Notifications — used to send you training reminders and updates from your coach. You can turn these off at any time in your device settings.

3. How We Use Your Information

To deliver your training programs, film, and coaching features.
To personalize your experience and track your progress.
To communicate with you, including coach feedback and notifications.
To maintain, secure, and improve the Service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.

4. Payments

Memberships are purchased through our website, not inside the app. Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your full card details on our servers; Stripe processes them under its own privacy and security standards.

5. Service Providers

We share limited data with trusted providers who operate the Service on our behalf, only as needed to provide it:

Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage.
Mux — video hosting and streaming.
Stripe — payment processing (website only).
PostHog — product analytics.
Sentry — crash and error reporting.
Apple Push Notification service — delivering notifications.

These providers are bound to use the data only to perform their services for us.

6. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 9).

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and limit access to it.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for athletes aged 13 and older. If you are under 18, you should use the Service with the involvement of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Your Rights

You may access, correct, or delete your personal information. To request account or data deletion, email us at the address below and we will process your request.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date above.
